Easy Wardrobe Refresh
Dressing myself is always a challenge being petite, and I’ve always had much success with someone else picking out my looks. Options overwhelm me. Enter Stitch Fix!
The mall overwhelms me, and even when I do find something I like, I always have to order it separately in my size because stores rarely carry the “short” or “petite” version of clothes. When a friend recommended Stitch Fix to me, I was curious enough to try it and I ended up falling. in. love. with it. Over time, I’ve refreshed my wardrobe to a more simplistic and timeless look with quality items vs. quantity.
How does it work? After filling out a style profile, answering some simple questions and explaining what I like, I started receiving monthly boxes of curated fashion finds that fit me literally perfectly. The styles aren’t always necessarily what I would initially choose, but I feel like it gets me outside my boring fashion box from my neutral, plain tendencies. I love getting 5 items to look at that are my exact size and they’re already in my house without doing anything except explaining what I like, don’t like, which pieces I need, or even just leaving it up to the stylist to surprise me. It’s a no brainer! The stylist even suggests what to wear with each piece if you have trouble putting outfits together (that’s me!).
If you want to skip a shipment or receive boxes less frequently, all you have to do is update your preferences on their app or their website. There’s also no pressure to keep anything, you can return whatever you don’t like with the easy pre-paid shipping envelope. Boxes cost $20 to order, but the $20 goes toward whatever you keep, so you are only out the money if you send everything back.
Wondering what kind of items they send? Here’s what I’ve kept! Byfar my favorite are the pants. The heavenly, finally-I-have-jeans-that-fit pants.
